1/23: We completed a review on the notes sociology_culture.docx and then students made a culture book. The culture book has to be a culture you have seen/known. Your book should have 5 pages, one page for each component of culture. You then need to list 5 examples of that component for that culture and draw a visual with color for each page. See powerpoint for notes and culture components.
1/25: Quiz was taken at the beginning (you have one week to make this up.) We talked about cultural changes and completed this review: culturalvariation.pdf
1/29: American Values. To make up the bell ringer you will need to write a paragraph about how American Values have changed from the 1950's to today. For the assignment we created a collage that represented each American Value (8) total and then on a separate sheet of paper you will need to explain how each image you chose represented that value and the pros/cons of that value. Each description should be 3-4 sentences at least. Make sure you label the images on your collage so I can match them to your description.
1/31: We did a bell ringer to help you outline your term project, which is due March 2nd. Fill this paper out and submit for make-up sociology_term_project_outline.docx, then we went through the notes about social structure (go to Unit 2 powerpoint, slide starting with Social Structure.
